Research Packages
Depending on your budget and how much you want to learn about your family, you can choose one of three research packages: Basic, Intermediate, or Advanced.

The Basic package is a comprehensive genealogical research service that includes approximately 10 hours of research using various sources such as online platforms, local historical societies, and archives.
You'll receive a PDF family tree visual, showcasing your ancestors' connections and a detailed genealogical report highlighting key individuals and events.
I’ll also send you a shared Google Drive folder for easy access to the documents I found, including translations if needed. Note that record availability varies by region and time period. Additional research hours and tailored services are available for more in-depth exploration of your family history.

The Intermediate package builds upon the Basic package, offering a deeper understanding of one specific branch of your family lineage. This package includes approximately 25 hours of dedicated research, offering a more thorough examination of available records and resources related to the chosen branch of your family.
In addition to everything included in the Basic package, the Intermediate package includes a Narrative Life History report. This report will serve as a visual narrative that brings to life the story of one branch of your family history. It will highlight key individuals, significant events, and noteworthy anecdotes, providing a captivating account of their lives and experiences.

The Advanced package provides an in-depth exploration of multiple branches of your family history, covering a wider range of ancestors and family lines.
This package includes approximately 40 hours of dedicated research as well as everything in the Basic and Intermediate packages. The main difference is that your PowerPoint presentation will tell the stories of multiple branches of your family history.
Working With Me
Want to know what it’s like to work with me? I’ve outlined my process below so you know what to expect. Please keep in mind that the timeline of these projects may vary based on my workload and records accessibility.
Step 1: The family questionnaire. Once I receive your genealogical research request, I will send you a preliminary questionnaire to gather information about your family and research objectives. This helps evaluate the feasibility of full research project.
Step 2: The preliminary search. After reviewing your questionnaire responses, I will do a preliminary search to assess the availability of relevant records.
Step 3: Choosing a package. If my preliminary search is successful and I determine that I can create a full report for you, you’ll select a research package. If limited information is available, we will discuss alternative options.
Step 4: The deposit. Once you choose your package, we will discuss the estimated cost of the project and half of that estimated cost will be due at the start. My rates are typically $25/hour. I accept cash, checks, Venmo, or PayPal. We can discuss a payment plan if needed. Please note: If your plan includes procuring vital documents or research from non-indexed archives, additional fees may apply but will not exceed $75.
Step 5: The research phase. After you choose a package and pay a deposit, I will begin a thorough investigation, analysis, and compilation of genealogical data using various sources and methodologies.
Step 6: Sharing my findings. Once my research is complete, I’ll email you your family report(s) and send you an invoice for the final payment. If you picked the Intermediate or Advanced package, you will also receive a physical printed copy of the report in a complimentary leather binder.
